Policy Analyst (Intern)

With Filipino origins and an Irish upbringing, Melissa grew up in Asian and European cultures. Having graduated with a master's degree in international relations she began her career with a global organisation based in Zurich working with Asian and African chapters for many years. She also gained extensive experience in communications and business development. She has networked extensively to further her intercultural competencies such as becoming a Gen A fellow at Asia Society Switzerland.

Upon completing the Blue Book traineeship in the field of next generation sustainable aviation technologies at the European Commission in Belgium, she is now undertaking an internship at ASEANcham-EU by analysing in policy briefs, tracking FTA negotiations, and assisting other team members with running of the organisation’s activities.
